Bobbie Gene Perkins Jr., passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at St. James United Methodist Church in Waco with Minister Debbie Perkins Carrington officiating. Eulogy was by Minister Richard Perkins. Bobbie Jr., was a part of the graduating Class of 1979-1980 from Jefferson Moore High School. He also attended MCC in 1980. Bobbie was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. He worked in the Dietary Department at Hillcrest hospital for about 29 years. Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie Gene Perkins Sr. and Beulah Jean Benjamin Allen Perkins. Bobbie is survived by his three sisters, Zina Marie Perkins Bean, Barbara Perkins Talley and Ray, Minister Debbie Perkins Carrington and Minister Charles; two brothers, Willie James Perkins Sr. and Yolanda, and Minister Richard Laffette Perkins and Rosemary; aunts and uncles, Essie Perkins, Freddie Mae Green and Kenneth, Emma Bogans, James H. Perkins; and all his loving nieces, nephews, greatnieces, great-nephews, cousins; and numerous of other relatives. He is also survived by his godchild, H'Mieri-Ye Leeshe Gense Benson; and his good friend and brother, Roger Wormley.

Ella Mae Mars, 89, passed away at Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas on March 15, 2014. Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, at Bethany Baptist Church in Eddy, Texas with Rev. Eddie P. Johnson officiating. Viewing hours were from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, March 17, at Cole Funeral Home Moody Chapel, 304 8th St, in Moody, TX. Ella was born December 12, 1924 in Hewitt, Texas to Nep and Minnie (Stover) Johnson. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Ella loved to gather during holidays with family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Arthur Harm Mars. Survivors include her daughter; Eva Masey and husband Harold of Odessa, grandchildren; Shannon Masey Elrod of Garden Dale, and Lisa Masey of Dallas, and numerous other relatives and friends.
